YouTurn Foundation partners with other non-profit organizations in our community to help the community as a whole. We want everybody in the community - including other non-profits - to be ALL IN!
3 children in need of orthodontic services from the Greater Lee County Boys & Girls Clubs will receive complimentary braces and ongoing maintenance of their braces through our "All In 2 Braces" program, courtesy of Sprayberry Orthodontics.
3 English creme golden retriever puppies (worth $3,600) were donated by YouTurn to the Lee County Youth Development Center. Significant behavioral improvements have been shown by these "at-risk" youth as they learn the valuable lesson of compassion and responsibility by taking care of these puppies. Many of these children are experiencing "unconditional love" for the first time from these puppies. They're also learning how to work together as a team with other kids in the program.
This unique program partners "at-risk" youth with "at risk" dogs at a kennel that will soon be built on the property of the Lee County Youth Development Center in Opelika.
Curriculum and guidelines are currently being established. In addition to a $20,000 grant that YouTurn directed toward this program through Alabama State Representative and Speaker of the House Mike Hubbard, additional funding is being raised to build this kennel and to complete this project in the near future.
